Labdanum is the fragrance of perfumed prophecies; this warm, amber elixir is the absolute version of Rock Rose Essential Oil. The ancient Egyptians have burned it as fragrant incense. Similar in scent to musk and ambergris, Labdanum is a sought-after absolute used in perfumery to emulate some of the world’s most precious fragrances. It has powerful, characteristic amber odor. The only plant to have amber notes similar to those of ambergris, it is also known as “vegetable ambergris,” which found mainly in southern Spain, in Andalusia.

18. Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida grosso - France)

Lavandin is a hybrid between True Lavender and Spike Lavender. The yield of this oil is normally 2-3 times higher than True Lavender that cause the oil is much cheaper and now is increasingly cultivated. Should not be confused with Lavender, Lavandin is not suitable for skin burn treatment just like lavender due to high content of Camphor and Eucalyptol. It's good for refreshing in the bath for respiratory system and very effective as an inhalation for colds, catarrh, sinusitis and clearing headaches. It's also good for muscular pain and stifffness.

19. Lavender Abs. 10% (Lavandula angustifolia - France)

This Fine Lavender absolute is from Provence, southern of France. This product is different to Lavender Provence essential oil because it's extracted by solvent extraction process instead of traditional steam distillation process, so, it is not an essential oil but it's an absolute. The aroma of this lavender absolute is much better than lavender essential oil as it has the scent exactly the same as lavender flowers just like you're standing in the lavender field. May Chang or called "Litsea Cubeba" is native to China. The lemon-scented oil is extracted from the fruits and very rich in citral with some linalol. Litsea cubeba is valuable in skin care as it is non-irritant, very antiseptic and effective in treating oily skin, acne and spots with no risk of phtosensitivity, it's widely used as a replacement of citrus oils in facial application.
