76. Balsum Peru Extra (Myroxylon balsamum var. pererae - El Salvador)

Balsam Peru is a very viscous, dark brown, liquid. It can be used as replacement of expensive extract such as Vanilla. It has rich sweet balsamic bouquet, spicy-vanilla like undertone with excellent tenacity, balsamic hint of labdanum. It is also used as a vanilla extender in natural perfumery without overpowering a blend. Blends well with patchouli, sandalwood, labdanum, ylang ylang and tuberose, lending a light floral dry out aroma.
